Life Under Napoleon Part I

Europe at this time is dominated by 5 powers:
Spain and England -> Maritime and colonial powers
France -> has suffered from the success of the British and possessed only a handful of outposts in the Caribbean, West Africa and the Indian Ocean.
Russia -> The Czar dominates Easter Europe and far into Asia.
The Holy Roman Empire -> stretches from Italy to Denmark.

The French carry their revolution beyond their borders including into the HRE.

They are welcomed by some including Johann Alois Becca, a merchant apprentice. In his correspondence with his best friend, he says even before the French beseeched Meintz he thought the French would eliminate the despots, including the Archbishop who had already left. The noblemasters fled the city in a panic & the streets of Meintz were empty.
